Festival "Chushka-Pruzhka"
In Borovets starts the international folklore festival "Chushka-Pruzhka".
The first edition of the international folklore festival "Chushka-Przuzhka" will take place in the resort of Borovets on July 29 and 30, organizers announced.
According to them, the name of the event comes from a dish - a culinary landmark for the region. Pieces of salty bacon and raw green peppers are skewered on skewers peeled from hazel. The secret of the tasty skewer hides in the spices, the grill and the skilful hand of the chef, says the festival team.
A highlight of the programme will be the competition for folklore performers of all ages, united by their love of folk music. The festival is held under the patronage of the Mayor of Samokov - Vladimir Dimitrov. The organizers are the municipality of Samokov and "Harlequin" association.
On the spot jury of the festival will be the folklore performers Guna Ivanova, Daniel Spasov and Milen Ivanov.
Guests of "Chushka-pruzhka" will be able to vote
on the spot, on the Internet, via QR code and phone for the audience's favorite.
Contenders for the prizes in the music competition can be amateur groups, ensembles, individual performers and ensembles that perform Bulgarian folk music and dance - vocal, instrumental and dance solo and group performers, without age restrictions.
