More than 250 children from 18 ski clubs took part in the three ski races for children in Borovets on the 13 and 14th March. 

The first race for cup Chamkoria Junior started on the 13th March. Children aged 6 - 12 years showed brilliant skill in the giant slalom discipline on ski run Yastrebets 3. 

The ski race "Memorial to the Champions" took place later during the day. The ski race is organised in the memory of the ski legends from Samokov from the near and distant past:  Lyudmil Tonchev, Dimitar Angelov, Petar Angelov, Aleksandar Nestov, Georgi Doykov, Ivan Nedyalkov, Iskra Barzanova, Asen Barzanov and many others. 

Their contribution to the 120 years of ski history in Borovets is inspiration to the new generation of ski champions of Bulgaria. 

The race was organised by the "Petar Popangelov and friends for Borovets" Foundation, Borosport, Samokov Municipality and BFSki. 

On the next day the talented skiers competed in the ski race for cup "Petar Popangelov Senior".
