Thousands of tourists from Bulgaria and abroad celebrated the traditional Rila Mountain Festival, which took place on 5th and 6th of August. Borosport reduced the prices of the two-way High Speed Quad Chair Lift "Sitnyakovo Express" and Gondola lift "Yastrebets" by 30%. More than 5,000 enjoyed the reduced lift tickets rates, and many of them took part in the mass climbing of the highest peak on the Balkans Musala.

The festival included a rich program of entertainment and music. Like every other year, the eldest and the youngest mountaineer who had conquered the summit were honored with honorable awards. The official opening of the event was at 11 am in front of Musala hut. The organizers from Samokov Tourist Association had provided a bus transport from Samokov to Borovets for everyone wishing to enjoy the wonderful Rila Mountain. Many of the guests took advantage of Borosport's variety of summer offers: trekking tours with different lengths and difficulty, upgraded mountain bike routes, challenging climbing tours and recreation possibilities in the Boroland rope town, horse riding, archery and top games for the children in the Kids’ Club Boroland.

The Rila Mountain Festival dates back to 1925 and is celebrated on the first Sunday of August.
