World Snow Day 2019
For eight year in a row Borovets will take part in the FIS "World snow day". On January 19th the first winter resort in the Balkans will show how to have fun and do sports in the mountain during the winter.
Borovets will celebrate the "World snow day" with free ski and snowboard lessons, music, games and entertainment for the whole family. On January 19th the snow park "Borokids" will cost 1 BGN for the kids between 4 and 7 years old. The discounted tickets can be found in Adventure Center Borosport. For every kid who doesn't have it's own ski-gear, the Borosport rentals will offer gear for the kids park for only 8 BGN.
On this day the ski passes for kids up to 13 years old will cost 1 BGN. Ski school "Borosport" will offer free ski and snowboard lessons for beginners. The lessons will will be at 10:00 AM / 11:00 AM / 01:00 PM and 02:00 PM and everybody who wants to participate s should sign-up in advance at phone 0882 19 68 48 or email ski_school@borovets-bg.com .
The mountain rescue team in Borovets will demonstrate safety practices and the "Bulgarian ski association for freestyle and extreme skiing" will show the guest in Borovets how to save avalanche victims.
Between 11:00AM and 12:00 PM everyone could experience the emotion of the slalom on the specially prepared trace on the "Borosport" ground in front of Hotel Rila. At 12:15 PM the Bulgarian ski legend will give advises to the young skiers and will take pictures with them.
The celebration of the "World Snow Day" are part of the "Borosport" policy to encourage the kids in the region to practice and love the winter sports. During the whole winter season "Borosport" provides free lift passes for the schools in Samokov Municipality for the holidays and once a month for a whole week.
