On the first day of the celebrations, a solemn Holy Mass will be celebrated in the Metropolitan's Church of the Assumption. This symbolic beginning will kick off the week-long celebrations that will attract people of all ages from near and far.
The rich program of the city celebrations includes a variety of sporting and cultural events in which all citizens and guests of Samokov can take part.
The last day of the celebrations, 21st August, the day of St. Simeon of Samokov, the patron saint of the town, is traditionally the culmination of the celebrations.
