For 7^th year in a row, the Rila Run marathon will be held in Borovets on 22th of July this year. The event is organized by Marathon association, Borosport and Samokov municipality and will challenge all the mountain running enthusiasts.

The trace is 21 km. long. The competition will start in the park near “Iskar” stadium. The first part to Sokolets camp (8km.) is the eco-trail along the Iskar rive. The second part is a combination between a forest road and an asphalt road and it finishes with the second refreshment station – Yastrebetz (14 km.) From there the trace goes to Musala hut – the third refreshment station (18 km.) and the last camp before the final – Ice Lake (19.5 km.). The participants will finish on Musala peak (2925 m.) The track is subject to modification in case of necessity.

• Masters 40+
