Borovets is among the largest Bulgarian ski resorts in terms of length and capacity of ski trails and facilities. It is situated on the Northern slopes of the Musala ridge in the Eastern part of the Rila mountain. Huddled amid the century old pine forests above 1300 m. аltitude, Borovets is the perfect place for winter sports and vacation.

Borovets has proudly hosted the World Alpine Ski Cup twice and the European Cup twelve times, the most recent one being in February 2016 (slalom and giant slalom for women).

Borovets proves to be a challenging terrain and a favorite among snowboarders, as well. The resort offers various types of complexity and load.

The bustle continues into the evening with night skiing available until 10pm, as well as numerous pubs, cozy taverns, and nightclubs, that can be found in the very heart of the resort.

Ski center Sitnyakovo

Ski center Sitnyakovo - Central Borovets – ranging between 1350-1780 m in altitude, its snow production system services an overall 2.500 ha of ski runs. This is also the night skiing center of the resort, available across eight trails with electrical lighting - Iglika, Rila, Martinovi Baraki 1,2,3 and 4, Rotata and the lower section of Sitniakovo ski way. Located here, is also the learning ground in front of Hotel Rila. 

Yastrebetz ski center


Yastrebetz ski center – ranging between 1340-2369 m. in altitude, its snow production system services Popangelov (former Yastrebetz 2), Yastrebetz 3 and the lower section of Yastrebetz 1 trails, on an overall 2.500 ha area.

Every day, at a 15-minute interval, from Yastrebetz gondola lift to Yastrebetz express high speed quad are operating free shuttle busses that are only for skiers and snowboarders using the Borosport facilities. When the quad-chair Yastrebetz lift is closed, the shuttle busses do nor operate.

Ski center Markudjik


Ski center Markudjik – ranging between 2144-2550 m. in altitude, the center is equipped with an innovative snow fence system, which prevents snow loss in windy weather. In high season, the snow cover here reaches 2 m. providing excellent opportunities for freeride or extreme riding.
